If you're a foreigner in France, finding a 'normal' job is not easy. However, there are some jobs that allow you to finance your stay in France. While in France, you can take an au pair job, looking after the family's children. You will receive free room and board, as well as a small allowance, for looking after the kids and occasional help with the chores. This job will give you a chance to learn the language, as you'll have to practice it daily in order to communicate. Conditions for au pair job in France may vary, so you'd need to clearly discuss your role in the family, as some would expect you to act as a domestic servant. A formal childcare qualification for this job in France is generally not required as much as experience with children.
